Founded in 1711, Beaufort, SC, located in the heart of the Carolina Lowcountry, harbors a rich repository of 18th and 19th century houses. During the Fall Festival of Houses and Gardens, visitors are invited to explore Beaufort from a rare vantage point: a selection of private homes and gardens normally not open to the public welcomes visitors inside.

An afternoon stroll is a favorite way to see Beaufort. The private homes on this perennially popular tour are located in the city’s National Historic Landmark District and represent the variety of architectural styles built in the city over the past two hundred years.

The houses open on Saturday are located in the National Historic Landmark district but are different from those open Friday. The seven properties feature a variety of architecture from a grand Beaufort style house to an alternative use for a former commercial building!

Experience culinary Beaufort! Local chefs will create regional specialties in private kitchens in houses on Cat Island, Distant Island and Lady’s Island. Five chefs, five houses! A fun way to spend Sunday afternoon!
Automobile transportation required!
Early purchase is suggested as tickets are limited!
All sales are final – NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN. Tours proceed rain or shine.
Tickets are NOT mailed! Tickets may be picked up at HBF office (208 Scott Street) from October 24 to October 27.
